  Directions to the Regional Research Institute

  RRI has moved to a new location in the Chestnut Ridge Research Building (CRRB) on the Evansdale Campus

  From Interstate I-79 heading south (from Pittsburgh and Washington, PA)

  • Take I-79 South towards Washington, PA. [24.5 miles]
  • Merge onto I-79 S via Exit 21 toward Morgantown, crossing into WV. [39.2 miles]
  • Take exit #155 toward WV-7. [ 0.4 miles]
  • Turn left onto Chaplin Hill Rd/Osage Rd/CR-19/24 N. Continue to follow Osage Rd/CR-19/24 N. [0.6 miles]
  • Go straight through two red lights (Sheetz will be on your right).
  • Proceed across the Star City Bridge.
  • Go straight through the traffic light at the end of the bridge.
  • Turn left onto WV-705 /Patteson Dr. [0.6 miles] The Coliseum is on your right.
  • Proceed straight through next three lights.
  • At the intersection of Patteson Drive and 705 (Chestnut Ridge Road) there will be a BB&T Bank in front of you. Stay in far right lane and make a right. The right lane is a turning lane). At this point, you should see a Hardee's on your left.
  • Proceed through the next red light.
  • Make a right turn just after the light. (If you get to the red light at Sheetz, yo went too far). Take the small access road to the Chestnut Ridge Research Building. As you proceed on this small access road, you will see a tall tan building on your left. Upon entering the building, the elevator is on the right.
  • RRI is located on the fifth floor.

  From Interstate I-79 heading north (from Charleston and Clarksburg, WV)

  • Take I-79 North towards Morgantown.
  • Stay left onto I-79 North/I-68 split towards Washington.
  • Take exit #155 (Star City/Osage).
  • Veer right onto South 19/Est Rt. 7.
  • Stay in the center lane towards Star City (this road becomes Jerry West Blvd.).
  • Go through four stoplights - at this point the WVU Coliseum will be on your right. Stay in the left lane and turn onto Patteson Drive.
  • Proceed straight through next three lights.
  • At the intersection of Patteson Drive and 705 (Chestnut Ridge Road) there will be a BB&T Bank in front of you. Stay in far right lane and make a right. The right lane is a turning lane). At this point, you should see a Hardee's on your left.
  • Proceed through the next red light.
  • Make a right turn just after the light. (If you get to the red light at Sheetz, you went too far). Take the small access road to the Chestnut Ridge Research Building. As you proceed on this small access road, you will see a tall tan building on your left. As you enter the building, the elevator is on the right.
  • RRI is located on the fifth floor.

  From Interstate I-68 west (towards Frostburg, MD)

  • Take exit #7, Pierpont Road. From the east, bear right off the exit. From the west, make a left at the stoplight at end of exit ramp).
  • At the second light (bottom of the hill) make a left (at Easton Elementary). You are now on the Mileground. You should pass various car dealerships.
  • At the second light make a right onto WV 705/Chestnut Ridge Road.
  • Proceed straight through next three stoplights on 705. Get in the left hand (but not turning) lane.
  • At the fourth stoplight, a Sheetz service station is on the left and Walgreen's on right. Remain in the left lane, and go straight through this light.
  • Immediately after the light at Sheetz, get into the middle turning lane to your left. You will see a small access road just past Sheetz. Turn left onto this road.
  • You will see a tan building on the left (directly behind Sheetz). This is the Chestnut Ridge Research Building.
  • As you enter the building, the elevator is on the right. RRI is located on the fifth floor.
