Bio:
Hodjat joined the Institute, December 2005 as a Research Associate Professor.
He earned his Ph.D. in City and Regional Planning from the Ohio State
University, 1993. He comes to us from Shahid Beheshti University, Tehran,
Iran where he taught quantitative methods, urban and regional modeling, ICT applications,
and development planning graduate courses. Prior to that Hodjat held assistant teaching and research positions at the Ohio State University
where he was involved in a number of research projects including applications
of IO modeling
in regional impact assessment and analyses of high technology complexes in the United States. He was also assistant editor for the Journal of Planning Literature for one year. Hodjat's research interests include CGE modeling, non linear optimization models, energy-economy interaction
simulation, and technology-led regional development.
