Biography:
Dr. Ghadimi joined the Institute in December 2005 as a Research Associate Professor. He is adjunct professor of Geology and Geography and has been teaching a course module on CGE modeling at School of Business and Economics, West Virginia University. Hodjat earned his Ph.D. in City and Regional Planning from the Ohio State University, 1993. Previous appointments include Shahid Beheshti University, University of Tehran, Iran and The Ohio State University. He has taught national and regional development planning, quantitative methods, urban and regional modeling, and ICT applications in planning and design courses for the graduate programs in planning and architecture. Dr Ghadimi’s research interests are on international development planning, economic development in energy resource-based national and regional economies, technology-energy-environment-economy interaction modeling, and in intelligent built environment and technology-led urban and regional development. He has extensive and varied experience in development planning in oil economies and his research was published as a book in December 2007 titled “Economic Development Planning in Oil Economies: A Dynamic Computable General Equilibrium Analysis.”
